The representatives of the University took part in the webinar on “The COVID-19 Teacher Qualification – promoting academic integrity for teaching and learning during the pandemic”. The webinar was held in the framework of the European Academic Integrity Week.
The speakers of the event were Valerie P. Roberts, Ph.D., Kansas State University, President of the International Center for Academic Integrity, US.
The moderator of the meeting was Sonja Bjelobaba, Ph. D., Vice-president of European Network of Academic Integrity, Uppsala University, Sweden.
During the webinar, the speakers shared the views and experiences of their countries on the difficulties and achievements while teaching and learning in an online format, the transition to which was caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. The ideas on how to plan an online lesson, how to use chat to attract students 'attention, how to increase the audience's interest in the lecture were offered. Considerable attention was paid to the methods of assessing and examining students, namely, the use of various forms of tasks during the examination. The importance of students' academic integrity and ways to increase it were also discussed. The knowledge acquired during the webinar will be used in the scientific and teaching work of the university representatives.
