Webinars in English for higher education applicants, researchers and academic staff of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs, Sumy branch and Kremenchuk Flight College, were conducted weekly with consecutive translations into Ukrainian by the EUAM Field Office in Kharkiv during September and October.
A large number of topics were considered during the events, among which were the following: “Community Policing Concept”, “How to Gain Trust and Build Effective Relations between Police and Citizens”, “Mediation and Facilitation in Criminal Proceedings”, "Investigation of crimes related to human trafficking", “Domestic Violence Raising: Awareness and Best Practices”, “Psychological “Aspects in Police Work”, “Protection of Police Officer’s Rights during their performing of tasks”, “Working with Social Media for Police Offices”.
The speakers of the events were: Robert Zolkiewski, Head of the EUAM Field Office in Kharkiv, Crista Granroth, Adviser/Trainer on Criminal Investigations, Liviu Velicea, Adviser/Trainer on Community Policing, Yuriy Mihalkov, Advisor/Trainer on Community Policing, Tuomo Korhonen, Senior Adviser on General Policing, Saer Ammar, Adviser/Trainer on Rule of Law.
Experts of the EUAM Field Office in Kharkiv City shared their own experiences and best practices of EU countries in law enforcement activities, provided content and comprehensive answers to questions. The participants of webinars actively participated in the discussions and asked questions. Following the completion of the webinar series, the most active participants received certificates from the European Union Advisory Mission.
