Iryna Maisun, a lecturer of the Department of Legal Studies of Sumy Branch of KhNUIA took part in a webinar on “Cyber Security: FBI Insight on Managing One of the Highest Risks at Board Level”.
Speakers at the event were FBI Special Agent Migel Klark, a cybersecurity expert, and Neiomi Kent, president of the Company “In Touch” (a Manchester-based Internet technology company).
Cybersecurity is increasingly being reported as one of the greatest threats at the international level in many industries. Cisco (one of the world's largest companies specializing in high technology) reported that 31% of organizations at some point faced cyberattacks during their operations.
Webinar participants listened to important information on how to avoid attacks and reduce the level of threat to organizations. Based on his experience, Migel Klark shared his views on the importance of governance and advice on reducing the threat to cybersecurity.
Iryna Maisun also took part in a webinar on “Election Security: Defending our Democracy against Well-Resourced Adversaries”. Participants in the discussion included Mett Eshbern, a former CIA cybersecurity officer, and Mik Bachcho, head of the IT department at the White House.
