On the occasion of the Day of Ukrainian Literature and Language, which is traditionally celebrated on November 9, a round table meeting of the Scientific Circle of the Department of Ukrainian Studies of the Faculty No. 2 of KhNUIA took place in the format of Zoom-conference.
The topic of the round table “History of formation and development of Ukrainian literature” became interesting and relevant for both experienced scientists of the Department and cadet youth. Olena Overchuk, the Scientific Circle Head, Associate Professor of the Department, spoke about the origins and traditions of the holiday. In his speech, the Head of the Department of Ukrainian Studies, Professor Ihor Chornyi, focused on the figure of Nestor the Chronicler and his role in the formation and development of Ukrainian literature. Serhii Hirenko, Deputy Dean of the Faculty No. 2 accentuated the importance of learning the state language by future law enforcement officers.
Cadets-members of the circle also presented their reports at the meeting, supported by bright presentations: Viktoriia Hlukhenka (F2-401) “History of Ukrainian writing: myth and reality”, Daria Fartushna (F1-107) “The phenomenon of melodiousness of the Ukrainian language”, Olha Popivchuk (F3-103) “Ukrainian language - yesterday, today, tomorrow”, Anna Kozakevych (F1-103) “Virtual communication and its features”. The discussion was lively, debatable and interesting, and all participants gained important experience of public communication within the online conference, enriched the general erudition and speech culture, deepened knowledge of the Ukrainian language.
