To the World Science Day, a meeting of the Scientific Circle of the Department of Criminal Law and Criminology of the Faculty No.1 was held under the leadership of Professor of the Department, Doctor of Legal Sciences, Professor Andrii Yashchenko. The event was held online on the ZOOM platform.

The topic of the event was devoted to current issues: “Criminal Law and Criminological Measures of Combating Corruption: Current Realities”.

Interesting and informative reports were made by:

  • 3rd year cadet of the Faculty No.4 Roman Romaniv “Borrowing the experience of foreign countries in combating corruption in Ukraine”, the supervisor is Assistant Professor, Candidate of Legal Sciences, Associate Professor Kseniia Yurtaieva;
  • 4th year cadet of the Faculty No.1 Yana Mirkevych “Some aspects of victimological prevention of corruption”, supervisor - Lecturer of the Department, Candidate of Legal Sciences Tetiana Shevchuk.

All participants of the meeting of the Scientific Circle took part in the discussion of anti-corruption issues, who actively joined the discussion and expressed their opinions on this issue.

At the end of the meeting, the head of the circle stressed that the scientific study of corruption as a negative social phenomenon, its crisis nature, as well as its place in the mechanism of illegal activities and measures to combat it, is a topical issue for Ukrainian society.
