On the occasion of the Day of Ukrainian Writing and Language, Maryna Kolesnyk, a Senior Lecturer of the Department of Legal Disciplines of the Sumy Branch of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs, and Tsvitana Baranova, a Lecturer of the Department, held a remote binary lesson for 2nd and 3rd-year students in the discipline of criminal law on the topic “Typical courts language mistakes” with the participation of Vira Sheludko, the Candidate of Philological Sciences, coordinator of the project “E-language”, one of the developers of online courses, such as “Ukrainian for 27 lessons” and “22 steps to language confidence”, librarian of Yaroslav the Wise National Library of Ukraine.
In the form of a presentation, Vira Leonidivna told in detail what language mistakes most often occur during the preparation of procedural documents, acquainted higher education students with the basic provisions of the new Ukrainian spelling and taught students how correctly paraphrase a sentence if there were mistakes.
