Kostiantyn Melnyk, Head of the Department of Labor and Economic Law took part in the International scientific-practical conference “Legal support of social security in the context of European integration processes”, organized by Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv in an online format on the Zoom platform.
The conference was attended by about 100 scientists from the European Union, Belarus and Ukraine.
The conference was opened by the Head of the Center for Problems of Implementation of European Social Law of the Faculty of Law of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, Doctor of Law, Professor Mykola Inshyn, who greeted the conference participants and wished them fruitful work.
Reports were made by: Vlastimil Vicen, Doctor of Law, Vice-Rector for Crisis Management of School of Economics and Management of Public Administration in Bratislava (the Slovak Republic); Josef Zat’ko, Doctor of Law, President of the European Institute of Continuing Education (the Slovak Republic); Andrea Olšovská, Professor of Labor Law, Department of Labor Law and Social Security Law, Faculty of Law, Trnava University (the Slovak Republic); Kyrylo Tomashevskii, Doctor of Legal Sciences, Professor of the Department of Civil Procedure and Labor Law of the Belarusian State University; Oleh Yaroshenko, Doctor of Legal Sciences, Professor, Corresponding Member of the National Academy of Legal Sciences of Ukraine, Head of the Department of Labor Law of Yaroslav Mudryi National Law University; Halina Chanysheva, Doctor of Legal Sciences, Professor, Dean of the Faculty of Social Law of the National University “Odesa Law Academy”; Kostiantyn Melnyk, Doctor of Legal Sciences, Professor, Head of the Department of Labor and Economic Law of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs and other leading scholars.
The speakers covered topical issues of the current state with the provision of social security in Ukraine and the world, the development of human rights in the field of labor and social security, improvement of labor legislation of Ukraine and more. Particular attention was paid to ensuring social security in the current conditions of the coronavirus infection pandemic (COVID-19).
