Maryna Petchenko, the Head of the Scientific Department of Kremenchuk Flight College of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs, the Candidate of Economic Sciences, took part in a two-day online training on "Safe Public Spaces: Gender Aspects". The event was organized in the framework of the implementation of the initiative "Gender Mainstreaming in the Security Sector in Ivano-Frankivsk", which received financial support from the scholarship program of the EU project "Eastern Partnership Civil Society Facility".

The trainers were: Uliana Sydor, an expert on attracting grant funding, a grant manager; Nataliia Tarasenko and Olena Ostapchuk, gender experts with considerable experience of cooperation with local governments and the implementation of joint gender-sensitive projects, including projects in the field of security of premises and outdoor space.

During the online training, issues of knowledge and information about safety in public spaces (parks, squares, streets, etc.) and in premises that are public places, taking into account the gender approach, were revealed.

Maryna Petchenko will use the acquired knowledge in the research work of the Scientific Department.
