The first stage of the XXI Petro Jacyk International Ukrainian Language Competition among students of the Faculty No. 6 took place at Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs. This year, due to the conditions of adaptive quarantine, the competition was held in a safe format, using computer and communication technologies.

The event was organized and conducted by Mykhailo Ovchynnykov, a Senior Lecturer of the Department of Social and Humanitarian Disciplines of the Faculty No. 6. The participants of the competition had to complete nine tasks of lexicology, phraseology, word formation, morphology, syntax, punctuation and stylistics of the modern Ukrainian literary language with different degrees of complexity for 80 minutes.

More than 25 first-year students of all specialties competed for the right to take part in the regional stage of the XXI Petro Jacyk International Ukrainian Language Competition.

Winners of the competition became:

Nataliia Yizhachenko – the First place;

Valentyna Uvarenko – the Second place;

Olena Vodianytska – the Third place.
