The term "sexting" refers to the sending of private, intimate photographs and messages. This phenomenon has become widespread due to the appearance of telephones and smartphones with built-in cameras that have access to the Internet and using which you can send intimate photos and videos, as well as private intimate messages.
Experts point out that teenagers and adults who engage in sexting may become victims of the intruders’ actions who use intimate photos and videos obtained during communication to blackmail, force to perform certain actions (for example, to have sexual intercourse with an attacker), or post them on porn sites or specialized resources for pedophiles.
Representatives of the university told radio listeners about the psychological characteristics of a child which may be the reason for starting sexting, how to recognize that a child could become a victim of this phenomenon, what to do when someone has become a victim, what is the responsibility in Ukraine for committing criminal offenses related to sexting.
