The Department of Sociology and Psychology of the Faculty № 6 of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs joined the All-Ukrainian action "16 days against violence", which is held from November 25 to December 10. Professor of the department Iryna Nechitailo and associate professor of the department Alla Larionova held a round table on "Domestic violence: causes, symptoms, methods of prevention." The organizers of the event made production reports on the theoretical and methodological foundations of scientific analysis of the phenomenon of domestic violence, as well as on current legal and practical aspects of prevention and prevention of domestic violence.

The event was attended by the Head of the Department of Sociology and Psychology, Professor Olena Yevdokimova and teachers of the department - Kateryna Mannapova and Nataliia Aleksieienko.  

Active participants of the round table were students-psychologists of 1st, 2nd and 4th courses of the faculty № 6. Reports were made by students Alona Stohnii "Forms of child abuse and their consequences" and Viktoriia Kharchenko "Overcoming the consequences of violence through art therapy."

The event aroused interest not only among teachers and students, but also among representatives of the school community. Anastasiia Kulish, a psychologist from Kharkiv Secondary School № 44, took part in the round table.

In the discussion part, participants discussed specific problem situations that illustrated conflicts between family members, trying to find out whether these situations are an example of domestic violence and what are the best scenarios for solving them.
