The National Academy of Internal Affairs is hosting the V International Scientific and Practical Conference "Implementation of the State Anti-Corruption Policy in the International Dimension" dedicated to the International Anti-Corruption Day.

The event was opened by the Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Anton Herashchenko who greeted the participants on behalf of the Minister of Internal Affairs and the Board of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

The conference is attended by 300 experts about from various fields and spheres of activity, including international experts, public sector managers and members of the public.

Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs was represented by Vice-Rector, Doctor of Law, Professor Anatolii Klochko. On behalf of the Rector's Office and the Academic Council of the University, he conveyed congratulations and wished fruitful work to the participants of the scientific event.

The following issues were discussed: legal bases of the anti-corruption bodies activity; international dimension and provisions of the Constitution of Ukraine; anti-corruption policy as a component of Ukraine's economy de-shadowing; judicial services in the Supreme Anti-Corruption Court during a pandemic; priority areas of anti-corruption activities of the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office; aspects of anti-corruption policy implementation in the system of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine and many others.

Speakers of the event: the Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Anton Herashchenko, the Head of the EU Advisory Mission to Ukraine Antti Yukhani Khartikainen, the President of the National Academy of Legal Sciences of Ukraine Oleksandr Petryshyn, the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Law Enforcement Denys Monastyrskyi, the Deputy Chairman of the Head of the Verkhovna Rada Committee of Ukraine on Anti-Corruption Policy Halyna Yanchenko, the Acting Director of the State Bureau of Investigation Oleksii Sukhachov, the Deputy Chief of the National Police of Ukraine – the Head of the Main Investigation Department - Maksym Tsutskiridze, the Deputy Minister of Justice of Ukraine Vitalii Vasylyk, the Deputy Minister for Veterans of Ukraine of European Integration Oleksii Illiashenko, the Deputy Head of the National Agency of Ukraine for Civil Service Andrii Zabolotnyi, the Deputy Head of the National Agency of Ukraine for Detection, Investigation and Management of Assets Obtained from Corruption and Other Crimes Filip Pronin and the Chairman of the Public Council at the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Volodymyr Martynenko.

During the conference, the results of the three previous stages, the conferences on anti-corruption activities held in Lviv, Dnipro and Kharkiv, will be summed up.

 The event was organized by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, the National Academy of Internal Affairs, the EU Advisory Mission to Ukraine, the National Academy of Legal Sciences of Ukraine and the Center for Corruption and Counteraction Prevention.
