The online round table “The information technologies implementation in the law enforcement agencies' activities was held at Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs, which was attended by Valerii Sokurenko, Rector of the University, Dmytro Shvets, the First Vice-Rector, Leonid Mohilevskyi, Vice-Rector, Viacheslav Markov, Dean of the Faculty No.4 (Cyberpolice) and Yurii Hnusov, Head of the Department of Information Processing Technology and Cybersecurity.
The event was opened by Doctor of Legal Sciences, Professor Valerii Sokurenko, who addressed the participants of the round table with welcoming words. He paid attention to the effective use of information technology in the activities of law enforcement agencies, including the National Police of Ukraine. He told about the latest achievements of the University in the field of information technology, such as software products developed by university staff like “Educational Unified Register of Pre-Trial Investigations”, Telegram chatbot “StopNarcotics”.
The event was attended by staff of the National Police of Ukraine, forensic experts from the Scientific Research Forensic Centers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, applicants for higher education, researchers, scientific and pedagogical staff of higher educational institutions of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, the State Penitentiary Service of Ukraine, private educational institutions, private lawyers and others.
During their reports, the participants of the round table raised problematic issues and suggested ways to solve them on: aspects of identification of current cyber threats in the computer networks of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine; methods of criminal analysis; use of special knowledge and OSINT technologies.
Based on the results of the round table, a collection of abstracts of reports of the round table participants will be published.
