Under the guidance of Liudmyla Chyzhova, a lecturer at the cycle commission of philological disciplines of Kremenchuk Flight College of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs, an online seminar was held for members of the scientific club “English ICAO is an important component of flight safety”. The seminar on the topic “International Civil Aviation Organizations ICAO, IATA, IFALPA, FAA, EUROCONTROL” was dedicated to the International Civil Aviation Day.

Applicants for higher education prepared presentations in English and gave presentations on the functions of FAA and IATA of the Air Transport Association.
Liudmyla Chyzhova drew the attention of the club members to the documents and regulations of the Council of Europe, which propose standards for the level of English language proficiency in accordance with international requirements for professional activities in situations of foreign language communication.
At the end of the seminar it was concluded that the participants of the dialogue “pilot –dispatcher” must not only speak English aviation language of a certain professional level in accordance with ICAO documents, but also be able to communicate in English spontaneously and be fluent in English, accurately formulate their views in professional and everyday communication. After all, the safety of flights in the world depends on conducting air dialogue in English, and at the same time, the lives of passengers who entrust their lives to competent pilots.
