The Sumy branch of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs hosted a round table "Branches of legal science and challenges of modernity", aimed at intensifying the scientific work of students and cadets of the first (bachelor's) and second (master's) level of higher education, presentation and testing research, exchange of scientific and practical information on current challenges and problems in legal science.

Welcoming remarks were made by the director of the Sumy branch Serhii Lukash, the deputy director Kateryna Naumenko and the head of the department of legal disciplines Oksana Panasiuk. The moderator of the event was Nataliia Duravkina, Associate Professor of the Department of Legal Disciplines.

Participants prepared and discussed reports "Human Rights in the Digital Age", "Protection of Immigrants' Rights: Ukrainian-European Experience", "Environmental Code", "Mechanism to Combat Evergreen Patents", "Transformation of Property Rights in Ukraine", "Integrity in Civil judicial proceedings ”,“ Punishment system under national and foreign legislation ”,“ Flexible working hours in the conditions of the COVID-19 pandemic ”,“ Psychology of search ”.

The round table took the form of a lively and interesting discussion. The participants decided to approve the scientific research covered in the reports.
