On the basis of the Sumy branch of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs, associate professor of legal disciplines Lesia Honcharenko and head of the department of free secondary legal aid and work with its providers Sumy local center for free secondary legal aid Olena Yarem held second-year law students online round table on "Problems of realization and protection of human and civil rights and freedoms in Ukraine".

The event addressed and discussed the main problems of implementation and protection of human and civil rights and freedoms in Ukraine, in particular: the concept of this socio-legal category and its nature in terms of philosophy of law, the reasons for the implementation and protection of such rights and freedoms in the context of rule law as a fundamental principle of harmonious coexistence of modern world civilization.
