Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs is the only higher education police institution, which is determined to be the basic higher education institution for holding the All-Ukrainian Competition of Student Research Papers in the fields of study and specialties for the period 2020-2023 (for three years) in the specialty «Theory and History of State and Law; History of Political and Legal Doctrines; Philosophy of Law». The competition is conducted by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine.

Leonid Mohilevskyi, Vice-Rector of the University, Doctor of Law, Professor, Honored Lawyer of Ukraine, was chosen as the Chairman of the Sectoral Competition Commission.
