The regular meeting of the scientific circle of the Department of Criminal Procedure, Criminalistics and Expertology of Faculty № 6, Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs took place online under the chairmanship of Associate Professor, Candidate of Psychological Sciences, Associate Professor Svitlana Lozova.
Olena Matarykina, Deputy Head of the Department of Biological Research and Accounting, Kharkiv Research Forensic Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, took part in the meeting of the scientific group. At the beginning of the meeting, student Ivanna Svynous made a report on "Features of the examination of the corpse at the fire scene." Olena Matarykina commented on and supplemented the report with the peculiarities of the work on finding, fixing and removing traces of biological origin at the scene in order to further appoint a forensic molecular genetic examination. This information caused a lot of questions from students about the peculiarities of the preparation and conduct of the examination, the tasks to be solved, the preparation of objects for expert research. Olena Matarykina also told the students about the peculiarities of identifying unidentified corpses using DNA analysis methods using examples from their own expert practice.
