Nataliia Horobets, Professor of the Department of Legal Disciplines of Sumy Branch of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs and Yana Sadykova, Associate Professor of Legal Disciplines, together with Alona Severynova, Judge of Zarichnyi District Court of Sumy, held a binary lesson on the discipline «Civil Process» for students of 2-4 courses. The topic of the meeting was: «Conducting of cases in civil process by correspondence».

The following issues were discussed: on what circumstances the court can make a decision by correspondence; in what term the application for review of the decision by correspondence can be submitted; what is the procedure for consideration of the application etc.
The Judge emphasized, that based on the results of consideration of the application for review of the decision by correspondence, the court, by its decision, can dismiss an application or cancel application by correspondence and assign the case for consideration according to the rules of general or simplified claim proceedings.
On the example of the considered court cases the speaker focused attention of the listeners, that reasons for reviewing the decision by correspondence are the circumstances, that indicating the seriousness of excuses for nonappearance in court, evidences, that confirm it, as well as evidences that may affect the decision made by correspondence, in other words, evidences, by which the defendant establish his objections to the plaintiffs demands.
The students received comprehensive answers to the questions.
