The coronavirus pandemic makes significant adjustments to the format of human communication. Thus, an online meeting with prospective applicants of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs took place remotely using Zoom platform. The main topic of communication was the issues related to the peculiarities of admission and training at the police higher educational institution in 2021.
Numerous questions of future applicants, their parents and teachers were answered by Mykhailo Burdin, Vice-Rector of the University, Doctor of Law, Professor; Viktor Slysh, Adviser to the Rector; Roman Hrekov, Head of the Department of Recruiting and Organization of Career Guidance, Police Senior Lieutenant; Maryna Davydova, Head of the Department of Work with Students of the Personnel Department.
They told the applicants about the University, its history, educational and scientific potential, material and technical base. They informed about the Faculties of the University, fields and specialties for which specialists are trained for units of the National Police of Ukraine, as well as innovations, which await future applicants in 2021, what is needed to apply for registration for training on a budget (by state order). They informed about the Faculty No. 6, where students study at the expense of legal entities and individuals, and told about specialties, which can be obtained. It has been noted that pre-entry courses have been functioning at the University in order to better prepare on the profile subjects for passing the external independent evaluation. The Department of Military Training functions at the university, training in which is carried out in such military registration specialties as «Psychology» and «Organization of moral and psychological support». After graduation, graduates are conferred the military rank of «junior lieutenant of the reserve».
The representatives of associations of territorial communities of Zolochiv, Vovchansk, Borovaia, Kupiansk, Merefa, Vilkhuvatka and Nova Vodolaha Regions, and Chuhuiv City, participated in the event. Among them were pupils of schools and lyceums, directors, heads of educational departments. The total amount was more than 700 people. The participants of the meeting received comprehensive answers to all questions.
It should be noted, that according to the decision of the University home-administration such online meetings would take place in the future. From December 21 to December 24, 2020, thematic online meetings will be held by representatives of the Faculties No.No. 1, 2, 3, 4 of the University. Prospective applicants will be able to ask any questions regarding admission to the chosen specialty.
