The first round of the All-Ukrainian competition of student research papers in the specialty "Philosophy" was held at Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs in pursuance of the order of
the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine “On the All-Ukrainian competition of student research papers in the fields of knowledge and specialties in the 2020/2021 academic year” and in
order to find talented cadets and students, create conditions for their creative growth, intensify research work of cadets and students.
The winner was a scientific work on philosophy on the topic “Model of an ideal state in the philosophy of Plato”, which was performed by Mykyta Onipko, student of Faculty No.6. His scientific
supervisor was Volodymyr Shapoval, Doctor of Philosophical Sciences, Professor of the Department of Social and Humanitarian Disciplines. The paper analyzes such important provisions of Plato's
socio-philosophical conception as the religious grounds for the existence of an “ideal state”; lack of change as a necessary condition for stability and longevity of the state; class structure of society,
ruled by philosophers; problems of property, marriage and family, as well as the issue of educating the best citizens, which is the basis of the “ideal state”.
The scientific work of the winner will be sent to the organizing committee of the base institution of higher education in the relevant specialty for participation in the second round.
