In honor of the 25th Anniversary of the Scientific Research Institute for the Study of Crime Issues named after Volodymyr Stashys of the National Academy of Law Sciences of Ukraine, the Competition named after Academician Volodymyr Stashys was founded, which aim is to award talented organizers in the field of sciences of the criminal and law cycle, as well as the authors of the best national scientific publications on criminal law, criminology, criminal executive law, criminal procedure, forensic science, expert evidence, operational and investigative activity, judicature, prosecution and lawyers in order to encourage scholars for further fruitful work.

Oleksii Lytvynov, the Head of Criminal Law and Criminology Department of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs, Doctor of Legal Sciences, Professor, Honoured Employee of Education, gained a victory in the nomination "The best organizer in the field of sciences of the criminal and law cycle".
