On December 29, Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Arsen Avakov presented the book "2014. Moments of Kharkiv Spring".
"I tell my story - the way I saw and experienced it, as Kharkiv resident and as the Minister of Internal Affairs, then I just came to the ruins of the law enforcement system. My co-authors, Kharkiv residents who took part, tell their stories with me in those events, experienced them as the history of their city and their personal destiny.
The book preserves the direct language of our heroes without censorship and editing, with all the living emotions and sometimes non-literary expressions - because the
real, true story looks just like that, " said the Minister.
Arsen Avakov noted that the book had many documents, starting from publications in the mass media and unique intelligence materials and audio records of separatists’
negotiations, received within the frameworks of operational procedures – the special permission of the investigation was given for their publication.
“These documents are shocking in their cynicism and atrocities, but I am convinced that they should be published and read - as indisputable documentary evidence that
the capture of Ukraine was prepared and planned in advance, separatist groups were organized and armed, and «ihtamnety» were coordinated by Russian special
services”, - the minister added.
Arsen Avakov stressed that the book published a “Plan for Kharkiv and the region” - an electronic correspondence of the curators of the “Russian Spring”, in which a
detailed plan - up to geotags – was developed for the occupation of Slobozhanshchina. 28 pages on all forms of a military strategy: capture of communication systems, communication nodes, strategic objects of infrastructure, mass media, physical destruction of government officials, military and journalists, information campaign and propaganda, the involvement of collaborators, and as a result – the creation of "KhNR".
"This document is in fact a guilty plea and a comprehensive proof of Russian military aggression. But Kharkiv has survived!" he said.
We will remind, earlier there was a presentation of the English and Ukrainian edition of the book «Benefits. The story of the feat of the battalions that saved the country". The book outlines the events of 2014-2015, when a system of volunteer units was created within the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine to armed resistance to
Russian hybrid aggression.
