A meeting of the Academic Council of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs was held. Urgent issues of national-patriotic education, anti-corruption measures, international activities, etc. were considered. Rector of the University, General of Police of the Third Rank Valerii Sokurenko, rectors of previous years, Colonel-Generals of Police Oleksandr Bandurka, Serhii Husarov, as well as Chief of the MDNP in Kharkiv Region, Colonel of Police Andrii Rubel took part in the work of the Academic Council. Addressing the audience, Andrii Mykolaiovych noted that the police of Kharkiv region is in great need of university graduates in all areas of training. They are the best among the universities of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

The rector of the university emphasized that close cooperation has been established between the higher education institution and the units of the National Police of Kharkiv region, which gives good results and is useful both for practical units and for young people mastering the police profession. The staff of the university is constantly working to improve curricula, strengthening their practical component. It is gratifying that conscientious and persistent work is highly appreciated by the state leadership and the Ministry of Internal Affairs. Recently, Presidential Decree awarded the honorary titles of Honored Worker of Education awarded to the First Vice-Rector of the University, Police Colonel Dmytro Shvets, and Honored Lawyer of Ukraine, Director of Sumy Branch of KhNUIA Serhii Lukash.

During the meeting of the Academic Council university staff was awarded. Mykhailo Burdin, Vice-Rector, was awarded the Departmental Merit of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine the badge "For the safety of the people" for his exemplary performance of official duties, personal initiative and dedication, high professionalism.

Serhii Subota, Head of the Food Supply Department of the Department of Material Support, was awarded the Departmental Incentive Award of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine - Certificate of Honor.

The Departmental Incentive Award of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine – Diplomas – was awarded to:

• Associate Professor of the Department of Information Processing Technology and Cybersecurity of the Faculty № 4 Police Lieutenant Colonel Oleksandr Manzhai;
• Senior Lecturer of the Department of Tactical and Special Physical Training of the faculty № 2 Major of Police Oleksandr Sokolov;
• Faculty Specialist № 2 Senior Police Lieutenant Denys Hnylytskyi;
• Maksym Vladymyrov, Associate Professor of the Department of Firearms Training, Faculty № 3;
• Associate Professor of the Department of Pedagogy and Psychology, Faculty № 3 Viktoriia Dotsenko;
• Head of the Information Technology Department Oleksandr Polkhovskyi.

The Departmental Incentive Award of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine – Gratitude was announced to:

• Faculty Specialist № 2 Police Major Yurii Butko;
• Inessa Hurinii, Leading Economist of the Financial and Settlement Unit of the Department of Financial Support and Accounting;
• Head of the Department of Criminal Law and Criminology of the Faculty № 6 Vadym Kharchenko;
• Iryna Shcherbakova, Head of the Public Relations Department;
• Cadet of the faculty № 2 police corporal Illia Tohobytskyi.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine awarded Oleksandr Balabin, a student of the Faculty№ 6, a valuable gift - a watch.

For many years of conscientious service, the Departmental Incentive Award of the National Police of Ukraine - the medal "15 years of conscientious service" was awarded to:

• Deputy Director of the Institute of Postgraduate Education, Major of Police Svitlana Fialka;

medal "10 years of conscientious service";

• Inspector of the Department for Work with Variable Personnel of the Department of Human Resources, Senior Police Lieutenant Artur Baitsur;
• Deputy Head of the Department of Advanced Training and Specialization of the Institute of Postgraduate Education, Senior Police Lieutenant Artem Potopalskyi;
• Leading specialist of the Permanent Staffing Department of the Human Resources Department, Senior Police Lieutenant Daria Khoroshun.
