A meeting of Serhii Bortnyk, Vice-Rector of the University, Police Colonel, with junior commanders of cadet units of the Faculties No.No. 1–4 took place within the framework of the School of Junior Commanders of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs. Serhii Mykolaiovych noted, that the role of junior commanders in ensuring the functioning of cadet units should not be underestimated. They are the first assistant commanders and should be an example to others in teaching, discipline, appearance, behavior, etc.

The junior commanders of cadet units include assistants to the head of the course, commanders of study groups, commanders of training departments. Performance of duties of the junior commander is an honorable form of duties at the University. In their work, they should be guided by the “Functional responsibilities of junior commanders” and “Regulations on the status of junior commanders in KhNUIA”. As Serhii Bortnyk noted, the performance of duties of the junior commander is a great experience in acquiring professional communication skills, personnel management skills, which will be useful in the further official activity. The Vice-Rector emphasized the conscientious performance of duties by the commanders and tightened control over subordinate personnel.
