A training with the participation of Volodymyr Kroitor, Professor of the Department of Civil Law and Proceedings of the Faculty No. 6, was held at the Legal Clinic of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs. It was dedicated to communication issues during the provision of free legal aid to citizens.

The event was held for applicants for higher education degree "Master" in the specialty "Law", who are undergoing externship at the Legal Clinic of KhNUIA. Ella Vakulovych, Head of the Legal Clinic, Associate Professor of the Department of Civil Law and Proceedings of the Faculty № 6, and Tetiana Kyrychenko, Curator, Associate Professor of the same Department, informed about the system of methodological tools of the process of communication with visitors.

Particular attention was paid to the division of the communication process into two stages - interviewing and consulting. An algorithm of actions during the interview and preparation of the consultation was analyzed with the consultants. Professor Volodymyr Kroitor explained the importance of compliance with the norms of current legislation and norms of professional ethics of a lawyer when providing legal assistance to citizens. The consultants received a practical task to prepare a plan for the reception of a visitor, taking into account the peculiarities of the Legal Clinic activity.
