During a meeting of the National Police Board, First Deputy Interior Minister Serhii Yarovyi spoke about the Interior Ministry's further plans to lease service housing and build the ministry's aviation system.

According to the First Deputy, in 2020 the Ministry of Internal Affairs introduced a fundamentally new approach to aviation response to challenges and threats. As part of the development of the Unified System of Aviation Security and Civil Protection, the National Police received the first 2 modern H145 Airbus Hellicopters, as well as 2 H125 helicopters received by the State Border Service, 10 such aircraft - the State Emergency Service and the National Guard. Pilots and technicians are currently being trained for aviation.

"The plans for 2021 include another 28 helicopters for the needs of all services of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, as well as the introduction of an aeromedical evacuation system and support of transplantation with the involvement of aviation together with the Ministry of Health," Serhii Yarovyi stressed.

He stressed that the system of providing housing for police and rescuers on the terms of preferential financial leasing continues. In total, more than 2,200 families of police and SES officers have already received their own apartments during the program. In particular, police families have received almost 700 apartments in 2020. Plans for 2021 - at least another 2,500 apartments for program participants.

"This year, we will continue to improve the crime response system, develop the Community Police Officer program, and expand the work of so-called security centers." When all rescue services work under one roof - an emergency medical officer, a rescuer, and a police officer. This will allow for clear coordination of all emergency services and reduce the time of arrival of relevant specialists to provide assistance to people, especially in small settlements away from the center, "the First Deputy Minister added.

We shall remind that during the Board of NPU Serhii Yarovyi also told about reforming the ministry in the conditions of a pandemic.
