Yesterday, February 4, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine amended the Law of Ukraine "On the National Police", in particular regarding the secondment of police officers to public authorities, institutions, organizations, higher education institutions with specific training conditions and special ranks of police officers attribution. 331 People's Deputies voted in favor.
The document, in particular, eliminated terminological inaccuracy in the text of the Law, replacing the words "higher education institution" and "educational institution" with the words "institution of higher education".
The draft law also clarifies the procedure for assigning special ranks to police officers who are seconded to a higher education institution with specific learning conditions, which trains police officers. From now, law enforcement officers will be able to obtain special ranks in the higher education institutions where they work.
This draft law has already been submitted to the President of Ukraine for signature.
