The representatives of KhNUIA participated in a webinar on the topic “Introduction to the International Drug Control Conventions” which was held by the Vienna NGO Committee on Drugs (VNGOC) in cooperation with UNODC. The webinar was conducted in English, the speakers were representatives of various organizations that control illegal circulation of drugs, among which, in particular, VNGOC (The Vienna NGO Committee on Drugs), UNODC (the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime), CND (The Commission on Narcotic Drugs), INCB (The International Narcotics Control Board). During the event, the main areas of activities of these organizations, their structures, functions and aims, the content of International Conventions and mechanisms of international control over drug trafficking were considered. The participants of the webinar were also acquainted with the experience of EU countries in countering drug trafficking and provided recommendations for improving control at both the national and international levels. During the event there was an active discussion, the speakers gave comprehensive answers to the questions of the participants.
