On the occasion of the 32nd anniversary of the withdrawal of troops from Afghanistan and the Day of Honoring the participants of hostilities on the territory of other states, flowers were laid at the Memorial Complex to the victims of the Democratic Republic of Afghanistan on the Culture street. The event was attended by representatives of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs, led by the Rector, General of the Third Rank Police Valerii Sokurenko, together with representatives of state and local self-government bodies, ATO and JFO soldiers.

Those present observed a minute of silence in memory of the victims, and the clergy of Kharkiv diocese held a memorial service for the dead.
