The Debate Club of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs conducted training on effective communication and parliamentary debates. The event was held at the Center for Gender Culture with the assistance of Assistant Rector for Gender Oksana Tsukan.

The speaker of the event was an experienced debater, coach of the Debate Federation of Ukraine, multiple winner of All-Ukrainian and International Debate Tournaments Dmytro Shcherbyna. Representatives of Kremenchuk Flight College of KhNUIA under the leadership of the head of the scientific department Maryna Petchenko joined the event in the format of ZOOM-conference. Due to the large number of participants wishing to take part in the Debate Club, additional audiences and the latest communication technologies were attracted.

As part of the training, its participants had the opportunity to:

- expand their knowledge of participation in the debate tournament;

- get acquainted with the formats of debates and the organization of the debate round;

- get acquainted with the importance of the role of issues during parliamentary debates;

- to deepen knowledge on construction of argumentation and technology of refutation;

- to get acquainted with the procedure for organizing a debate tournament;

- learn the criteria for evaluating the debate round.
