The University Library presents a book-illustrative exposition "Crimea: seven years in captivity". The exposition contains periodicals and photos of the event in February 2014.

7 years ago, on February 26, 2014, a peaceful, pro-Ukrainian rally of Crimean Tatars and Ukrainians took place in Simferopol under the walls of the Verkhovna Rada of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea to demonstrate to the world that Crimea is Ukraine. Unfortunately, the Russian special forces, violating Ukrainian and international law, began seizing the building of the Verkhovna Rada of the ARC and Simferopol, where then, under the barrels of machine guns, the legitimate Ukrainian leadership of the ARC was dismissed and a so-called "referendum on joining Russia Federation" was announced. It took place on March 1 with numerous violations and was accompanied by the Russian military.

Remembering those events, Ukrainians and the whole civilized world support the Ukrainian Crimea, Ukrainians and Crimean Tatars living in the autonomous republic.

Crimea is Ukraine. So it was, so it is and so it will always be!

The library invites the university community to get acquainted with the exhibition.
