The representatives of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs took part in a meeting where "Guidelines for Employers in Gender Equality and Non-Discrimination" was presented. The document was prepared with the assistance of Kateryna Levchenko, the Government Commissioner for Gender Policy, and the Confederation of Employers of Ukraine together with the International Labor Organization.

The issues identified by “Guidelines for Employers in the Field of Gender Equality and Non-Discrimination” provoked a lively discussion among the heads of personnel departments and gender commissioners subordinated to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, representatives of regional state administrations, and large Ukrainian enterprises.

The economic component was emphasized by Kateryna Levchenko, the Government Commissioner for Gender Policy who said: “The pay gap between men and women is more than 20%. If women's participation in wages were at the same level as men's, the country's GDP would increase by $7.5 billion".
