Associate Professor of Law of Sumy Branch of KhNUIA, Candidate of Historical Sciences, Associate Professor Lesya Goncharenko and Senior Lecturer of the Department of Law Viktor Kiselyov conducted a practical lesson on criminology with students of the Sumy Territorial Branch of Malaya Academy of Sciences of Ukraine. Victor Kiselyov acquainted young scientists with the peculiarities of forensic examination of papillary lines (fingerprinting). Students had the opportunity to copy handprints by applying a special powder with a magnetic brush on the surface, learned about ways to detect traces at the crime scene and make molds of various objects. Pupils of MANU were also acquainted with the forensic set "Antihabar". Boys and girls were shown the work of invisible fluorescent dyes, which are used to mark banknotes or documents to identify persons involved in the commission of crimes under the Criminal Code of Ukraine for gain or forgery. The students received a lot of useful information and positive impressions. Some pupils promised that after receiving general secondary education they would definitely enter the Sumy branch of KhNUIA.
