Every year on March 9-10, Ukrainians honor the memory of Taras Hryhorovych Shevchenko, the poet, the artist, the philosopher, the public figure, the founder of the Ukrainian literary language. On the eve of the artist's birthday, the students of faculty № 6 took part in the literary quest "Knowing the Kobzar", organized by the Department of Social Sciences and Humanities. The moderator of the event was senior teacher Natalia Kobylko. The students demonstrated their knowledge of the life and work of Taras Shevchenko, their logic, and erudition.
Participants began the quest in the scientific library of the University at the book-illustrative exhibition. There was the first station - "Shevchenko - our contemporary". The team had to create an Instagram page of the Great Kobzar, make relevant posts, and put hashtags. The second task concerned the artist's work. It was necessary to recognize poetry with a few lines, to give the impression after reading Taras Shevchenko’s works. The tasks which took 15 minutes stimulated the emergence of original solutions.
The students continued the quest in classrooms, then visited "Mathematical" and "Love in the life of the poet" stations. They recreated the events of the artist's life over the years, spoke about the women who captivated his heart. An interesting task at this stage was literary dominoes, where it was necessary to form a logical chain as soon as possible.
The quest ended at the station "Intellectual" with answers to the question "True or False?" This fruitful and interesting competition resulted in the creation of "The tree of life and creativity of the Great Kobzar". During the quest, all the participants demonstrated their knowledge of Taras Shevchenko's work, they solved logical problems, looked for original solutions and tips.
