Every year on March 9, Ukraine celebrates the date of birth of the poet Taras Hryhorovych Shevchenko, who became the main Ukrainian Prophet and national symbol. He is called the forerunner of a new life, a titan of the spirit who mourned the fate of his native people and left his descendants a spiritual testament passed down from generation to generation, from generation to generation.

Taras Shevchenko lived in Ukraine, suffered for it, hardened his will for it, wrote his unburned immortal prophetic word for its awakening and liberation, affirming the age-old desire of the Ukrainian people for freedom. For Ukrainians of all subsequent generations, it has become a powerful source of national consciousness.

In order to honor the memory of this sacred and powerful figure for all past, present and future generations of Ukrainians, a book-illustrative exhibition "Mighty Ukraine lives in every Kobzar`s thought" was opened in the reading room of the library.
