Representatives of Kremenchuk Flight College of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs - Maryna Petchenko, Candidate of Economic Sciences, responsible for gender issues, and Nataliia Dovbysh, Inspector of the Science Department, took part in the leadership training.
The event discussed issues related to identifying, developing, and consolidating skills in the following areas of life: leadership that unites the community; ensuring equal rights and opportunities for women and men; gender and gender budgeting; methods for determining signs of corruption, etc. The event was organized by the mobile school of women’s anti-corruption activism “AntiKa” of the non-governmental organization “Kremenchuk Anti-Corruption Center” with the grant support of the European Endowment for Democracy (EED). The project aims to make the public aware of the benefits of women's political participation in decision-making at all levels of government, as well as the possibility of using anti-corruption mechanisms to build intersectoral networks of women leaders to ensure sustainable development.
The initiative to participate in the event was implemented as part of the work in the direction of one of the priority research of the college “Issues of gender stereotyping of Ukrainian society in a decentralized environment”. With the help of the acquired knowledge and skills, it is planned to implement a series of activities on gender issues. They will involve students on the basis of the college, as well as - established cooperation with representatives of the Mobile School of Women’s Anti-Corruption Activism “AntiKa”.
