Events dedicated to the Maslenitsa festival took place at Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs. Winter farewells are one of the brightest and funniest folk holidays. Cadets and students of the university prepared creative performances - sang Ukrainian folk songs, danced, led round dances. "Preserving the centuries-old traditions, customs, and rites of our people, we save the national identity, unity, and integrity of our state. We must remember our history, the heroic past of our people, love our native land and the Motherland, as our grandfathers and great-grandfathers did. So, good health, good mood, and happy holidays, of course, in compliance with all quarantine requirements!” - said the rector of the university Valerii Sokurenko.

The event ended with the burning of the "winter scarecrow".
