Mykola Holub, Associate Professor of the Department of Law-Enforcement Activity and Policeistics, together with Volodymyr Ushakov, Head of the Department of Labor and Employment of Moskovskyi District Administration of Kharkiv City Council, and Kostiantyn Larko, Chief Specialist of the same Department, conducted a binary lesson on topic "Local self-government bodies as subjects of administrative law” for students of a few educational groups of faculty No. 6.
The issues of formation of local self-government bodies in accordance with the Constitution of Ukraine as the realization of the right of members of the territorial community to independently make decisions on the development and vital activity of the community were considered. The essence of local self-government in Ukraine was considered. Emphasis was placed on the delineation of powers of local state administrations and local self-government bodies. The structure, tasks, and directions of activity of Kharkiv City Council administrations and the place of Moskovskyi District administration in solving local self-government issues in Kharkiv have been informed.
