Professor of the Department of Fundamental and Legal Sciences of Faculty No. 6 of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs, the secretary of the International Association of Historians of Law Volodymyr Kyrychenko, and Professor of the same Department Leonid Zaitsev took part in the conference on "Historical experience in law-making and state construction". The organizers of the scientific event were the International Association of Historians of Law together with the V.M. Koretsky Institute of State and Law of National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine and the Law Faculty of V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University.

The philosophical and theoretical problems of historical and legal discourse, the issue of the history of law, state and legal opinion in the context of civilization development, historical lessons of state and law-making in the twentieth century, and the challenges of the present were considered at the conference.
