Representatives of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs and its separate structural subdivisions - Sumy Branch and Kremenchuk Flight College - led by the Rector, Police General of the 3-rd rank Valerii Sokurenko took part in the online presentation of "Methodological Recommendations on the Integration of Gender Approaches in the System of Training Specialists for the Security and Defense Sector of Ukraine". The event was initiated by the Government Commissioner for Gender Policy Kateryna Levchenko and with the participation of the UN Women Representation in Ukraine.

In his speech, the Rector of the University spoke about the activities carried out at the university to implement a gender approach and the prospects for further development.

The purpose of the event was to acquaint participants with "Methodological Recommendations and Special Topics on the Integration of Gender Approaches in the System of Training Specialists for the Security and Defense Sector of Ukraine", as well as the methodology for assessing the needs of higher educational institutions of the security and defense sector of Ukraine regarding the gender component.

The issues considered were topical and debatable.
