Representatives of the Department of Legal Support of Economic Activity, Faculty № 6 Yuliia Kyrychenko, Oleksii Shumilo and members of the student scientific group of the Department studying at the Faculty № 6, Yehor Kyrychenko and Alina Zviahintseva took part in a round table on "Legal support of environmental protection taking into account the consequences of the Chornobyl accident”. The event took place online at Simon Kuznets Kharkiv National University of Economics and was dedicated to the 35th anniversary of the Chornobyl nuclear power plant accident.
The round table addressed topical issues of legal regulation of environmental protection, implementation of measures to improve environmental safety in the exclusion zone, radiation protection, safety and control system, taking into account the consequences of the Chornobyl accident, which is the largest in the history of nuclear energy, the number of people killed and affected by its consequences, and the economic losses.
As a result of the round table, its participants adopted proposals to improve the current legislation of Ukraine and the practice of its application to ensure environmental protection due to the Chornobyl accident.
