Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs hosted the International Scientific and Research Conference "Cybercrime and Human Trafficking Combating". The conference was co-organized by the Public Union "Global Center for Interaction in Cyberspace".
The conference was opened by the First Vice-Rector of the University, Doctor of Law, Associate Professor, Honored Worker of Education of Ukraine Dmytro Shvets. He noted that in 2020, more than 5,000 cybercrimes were registered in Ukraine, during the investigation of which more than 100 people involved in criminal proceedings were detained, including 13 pedophiles. The topic of the scientific event is extremely relevant for our society as cybersecurity has a priority factor in the national security system of Ukraine. It was also emphasized that in order to introduce a cybersecurity system in our country, it is necessary to create conditions for the safe functioning of cyberspace and its use, to prevent possible cyberattacks on the critical infrastructure of the state, etc.
During the conference, the following issues were discussed: current trends in the use of information technology in law enforcement, current issues of cybercrime investigation, the content and methodology of practical training on cyber hygiene, the model of software security testing process, the legislative regulation of cryptocurrency circulation in Ukraine, the main trends in the field of cybersecurity for the protection of bank payments, etc. Abstracts of the conference participants are published in the collection of abstracts of the scientific event.
