On December 19 (December 6 in the Julian calendar), we honor the memory of St. Mykolai Myrlikiiskyi. Orthodox and Greek-Catholic Christians remember and honor him as a historical figure and a Great Saint. In Ukraine and other countries, this Saint became the prototype of the mythical figure of Santa Claus.
