KhNUIA cadets are bronze medalists of the All-Ukrainian SAMBO Wrestling Tournament

Cadets of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs became prize-winners of the All-Ukrainian Sambo Wrestling Tournament in the honor of Oleh Karmazinskyi, which took place in Kharkiv. 47 wrestlers from all over Ukraine, 4 honored masters of sports, 11 masters of sports of the international class, and also masters of sports of Ukraine took part in competitions. Athletes of the university showed a decent fight and became bronze medalists of the championship:

  • Third place in the weight category up to 71 kg was won by a cadet of the 2nd year of the Faculty №2 Vasyl Sydor;
  • The third place in the weight category over 98 kg was won by the cadet of the 3rd year of the Faculty №1 Denys Smirnov.
