On the initiative of the International Cooperation Department, English speaking clubs are being held for the sixth week in a row. Meetings are held online in two groups for participants of the initial and intermediate levels (A2 - B1), as well as for a more advanced level (B2).

Every week, up to 15 KhNUIA employees among the scientific, pedagogical and administrative staff receive effective and individually oriented language practice, increase confidence in using English in various thematic situations, improve grammar, expand vocabulary, etc.

Speaking clubs are conducted by native English speakers - Suzanne Bancel, Senior Advisor on Internationalisation at the Norwegian Police University College and Dominique Geer, Director and Teacher of the ArcoMusicAcademy (USA) Music Academy. KhNUIA foreign partners on a volunteer basis ensure the most interactive and lively atmosphere for all participants, provide practical assistance in the process of conversations and promote free communication, creating favorable conditions for overcoming language barriers.

The main goal of the speaking clubs is to improve the level of English and develop the communication skills of participants in order to help them feel confident in using the language both in the professional and personal spheres. Discussion topics cover a wide range of issues – from the basics of business communication to social, cultural and professional topics, which allows participants not only to develop speaking skills, but also to gain new knowledge about current world events and trends.

Within the framework of each session, speakers facilitate discussions, help to express themselves freely, understand grammatical issues, accents, stresses, provide homework aimed at improving written and spoken skills, etc. Participants have the opportunity to write brief descriptions on various topics, improve their grammar knowledge and expand their vocabulary, which generally contributes to the comprehensive development of language skills.

Representatives of different departments of KhNUIA join the clubs, namely: the scientific and scientific-pedagogical staff of Educational and Research Institute No. 2 (training specialists for criminal police units of the National Police of Ukraine), Educational and Research Institute No. 4 (training specialists in information and analytical support and cybersecurity of the National Police of Ukraine), Educational and Research Institute No. 5, representatives of the Department of Regime and Secret Support, the Department of Theory and History of State and Law, the Department of Constitutional and International Law and Human Rights, etc.
