Professor of the Department of Theory and History of State and Law, Faculty №1 of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs Yulia Zahumenna became the winner of the All-Ukrainian competition "Young Lawyer of the Year 2020".

The competition was held by the Coordinating Council of Young Lawyers of Ukraine with the support of the Institute for Political, Legal and Religious Studies, public authorities, professional and public associations of lawyers, bar associations and the European project center.

The competition was held in three stages: collecting questionnaires of participants; evaluation and preliminary selection of questionnaires by the organizing committee; evaluation of questionnaires by an expert jury. The purpose of the competition is to promote the skills and professional growth of young lawyers, the prestige of their work, conscientious performance of duties by young lawyers, improving the organization of work, development of initiative and creativity, improving the quality of training, retraining and advanced training of lawyers research work, the establishment of respect for law through trust in lawyers.
