Vitalii Naida, Head of Scientific Leadership School of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs, and first-year cadets Kateryna Sharavar and Anastasiia Lymarenko, participants of this School, became winners of the all-Ukrainian essay contest "Heydar Aliyev: The Phenomenon of Leadership" among Ukrainian students. Representatives of the university took part in the awarding ceremony of the winners of the competition, dedicated to the Day of National Salvation of the Azerbaijani people.
About 200 articles were submitted from Ukrainian students who took part in the essay competition. The participants of the University Scientific Leadership School presented 15 works at the competition. The jury included the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Azerbaijan to Ukraine, People's Writer Elmira Akhundova, Honored Journalist of Ukraine, writer-publicist Viktor Vasylchuk, diplomats of the Embassy Samir Allahverdiyev and Tarana Sadygova, the representative of Baku International Center for Multiculturalism in Ukraine Marina Gunna.
The award ceremony was held at the Embassy of Azerbaijan in Ukraine in Kyiv. The winners were given a tour of the embassy; unique thematic halls were shown, and a screening of the film dedicated to Heydar Aliyev was organized.
Elmira Akhundova noted that next year the embassy will publish a book about Heydar Aliyev "The Phenomenon of Leadership", which will include excerpts from all 200 essays of the participants.
