Rector of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs Valerii Sokurenko together with representatives of State authorities and local self-government took part in the solemn ceremony of raising the State Flag of Ukraine. The event took place on Serhiivska Square.
On the occasion of the 30th anniversary Independence of Ukraine, at the initiative of President Volodymyr Zelenskyi, flash drives were installed in all regions of the
country for the flag-raising ceremony. It should be noted that the flagpole on which the State Flag was hoisted in Kharkiv is 102 meters high and is the highest in
Europe. Before that the highest flagpole was considered in Gamini, Finland, 100 meters high. In Ukraine, the highest flagpole was in Kyiv - 90 meters. So Kharkiv
set a new record in Ukraine and Europe.
