More than 350 schoolchildren visited Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs that day. They were greeted by the Rector of the University, Police General of the Third Rank Valerii Sokurenko, the First Vice-Rector, Police Colonel Dmytro Shvets, and the Vice-Rector, Police Colonel Serhii Bortnyk. According to the Rector of the University, the "Night of Science" in Kharkiv has been held for several years in a row and has become a favourite event for future applicants, their parents and educators. The staff of the University was preparing for this meeting so that it would be interesting, meaningful and leave vivid impressions.

Pupils got acquainted with the directions of training of cadets and students, learned about the peculiarities of studying at the University, about the modern material and technical base and the practical orientation of classes.

The youth visited specialized classrooms, a training center for combating cybercrime and cyberspace monitoring, training ranges, a tactical place, an obstacle zone, a university museum, a multifunctional training and sports complex "Dynamo Arena", etc.

Also for schoolchildren on the big marching place there was a performance of division of sabers. Participants of the circle of the Department of Tactical and Tactical-special training "Shield" demonstrated the tactics of police units in various official and extreme situations.
